License Requirements, Fees, and Examination Information:
Those persons who perform integrity tests on underground storage tanks or associated piping. Businesses are not licensed.
Fees: Application Fee: $100; Exam Fee: $200; License Issuance Fee: $600; Renewal Fee: $600; Reinstatement Fee: $200 (if license is allowed to expire); Replacement Fee: $10.
Examination Frequency: Approximately 6 times per year.
Exam Locations: Primary- 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. Alternative location to be determined.
Experience Requirement: Training from the tank testing equipment manufacturer and either 1 year of experience or 6 months of experience, plus a classroom training course.
Average Time to Process Application: 30 days or less.
Renewal Period: Every 3 years.
